Blasting solutions company AEL Mining Services has added a power-driven portable pump to its portfolio to enable the use of emulsion explosives in a conventional mining environment, where mines do not have compressed air. Many new mine developments are being started without compressed air owing to its high cost, and alternative power sources, such as electricity and hydropower, are being used.
