Page 1 of 3 South AmericaAEL South America, headquartered in Santiago, Chile, was established in early 2010 as a channel business centre to distribute AEL’s range of explosives, initiating systems and services. It has accomplished this through a carefully chosen selection of reputable channel providers, namely ENAEX and EXSA - two of the regions most respected channel operators in the mining spectrum.
Staffed by nine locally recruited employees and headed up by an AEL professional from South Africa, AEL South America was established with several goals in mind. One of these is to effectively address the growing business requirements of loyal users of AEL products and services in the region. Addressing these requirements through the region’s existing channel will further enable another of the AEL’s goals, which is expanding the mining and explosives manufacturer’s international footprint whilst furthering its efforts in growing as loyal a customer base in South America as it enjoys in Southern Africa, Africa and other select international markets. A Chilean explosives company established in 1920, with plants in Rio Loa and La Chimba in the north of the country, and a facility in Peru near Arequipa, ENAEX mainly engages in the rock fragmentation market and produces raw materials and explosives used for rock fragmentation. Enaex's range of explosives covers both open pit and underground mining blasting products. Services offered also include supply and cargo of explosives, technical assistance, administration of arsenal and plants, integral blasting services and logistics. |
